India won the Third ODI against Kiwis!

What a match it was, although Kiwis batting line up was looking a bit inexperienced but chasing a target of 393 they managed to make 334 runs. There was a time when they are eight wickets down but still they were looking to win the match. Thanks to some of the finest hits by Mills and Southee at the end they were in the chase but still the match went into the favor of Team India.

Losing the toss in the Christchurch, M S Dhoni was invited for batting first. Sehwag did not played good today and he got out making only 3 runs, that time Indian teams score was 15 only. Gambhir then joined Sachin, but then both Sachin and Gambhir were looking in probelm. Both of them were looking in trouble to make runs. in the 13th over when the score was 65 runs India lost the wicket of Gambhir, he made only 15 runs.

After the dismissal of Gambhir Yuvraj Singh came and he started hitting some big big hits, which also helped Sachin Tendulkar to open his hands confidentially. Meanwhile Sachin made his 43rd century and this was his first century in New Zealand. Sachin and Yuvi made a partnership of 138 runs. Yuvraj made 87 runs in only 60 balls. He hit 10 boundaries and 6 six. After this Sachin got retired hurt due to strain on his stomach. He made 163 runs in only 133 balls. He hit 16 boundaries and 5 six.

Once Sachin was back in the pavilion, Dhoni hit some magnificant shots and managed the run rate along with Raina. Finally Team India managed to make 392 runs in 50 overs.

Thus the target for Kiwis are never easy. They started with superb innings with McCullum and Ryder. Both of them made 166 runs for the opening wicket partnership in 22 overs. Once McCullum became run out at the last ball of the 22nd over the match slipped from their hand. Meanwhile two of the catches fell by Team India, one by Dhoni and other by Yusuf. Some of the miss-fielding too created pressure on Team India. After the fall of McCullum’s wicket, wickets fell at a regular interval. At the end it was superb batting by Mills and Southee which once again brought them back in the hunt.
