The loss in the two twenty20 matches in which Team India is the World Champions, brought pressure on Team India, but they all performed quite well in the first ODI and thus Team India has got the winning start in the National Bank series. Now in the second ODI India will eye the victory so that they can have an edge over Kiwis in the series.
Kiwis has a major concern, Brendon McCullum who is in the best of the form of his career, has an injury on his thumb and he might miss the second ODI. To fulfill his place in the team Kiwis called Peter McGlashan. Abscence of McCullum in the team will weaken the batting strength of Kiwis, which is already a bit of inexperienced and Indian bowlers like Zaheer, Praveen and Bhajji can be dangerous for them. All three of them are in the superb form, and they can really go for kill.
As Ishant Sharma is also injured, Team India has the problem for the fourth and fifth bowler, as Munaf is not going in the best of his form. But Yuvraj, Yusuf, and Sehwag are doing fine in the middle overs.
On the other hand, Kiwis will deadly try to level the series. If McCullum will be able to play in the match then they can be able to level the series easily. Ryder is also due for one big inning and he might gain the form in the second ODI only.
