As per the early news a big tragedy in the cricket history has occurred near to the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan. As per the early news around 5-6 Sri Lankan cricket players are injured in the incident. Five terrorists are reported to attack the convoy of the Sri Lankan team near the Gaddafi stadium of Lahore.

The incident has caused fear among the cricket players and concerned people too. This incident will now stop every country to visit Pakistan in near future.

Five security persons are also injured in the incident. More reports on the incident is awaited.

The five injured players includes the skipper Mahela Jayawardene, and Kumar Sanggakkara, along with the support staff Paul Farbrace. This is for the first time that terrorists directly attacked any cricket team. Although the players are minor injured. The injuries are caused by the debris of the bus, not from the bullets or bombs. It is a good news for the cricket fans, but the bad news is that five security persons are dead in the incident.

The others players injured are Ajantha Mendis, Thilan Samaraweera and Tharanga Paranavitana.

Around 12 terrorists attacked the Sri Lankan Cricket Team’s bus with automatic riffles. Sri Lankan board has called back the team and the series is canceled out. Samaraweera was injured by the bullet on his chest and his operation is going on. As per the latest news around 7 security personals lost their life in the incident.

ICC has called for an emergency meetings. Some news are also claiming that Chaminda Vaas too got injury from bullets, but this news is not yet confirmed.
