As we know that Team India is the world champions in the T20 format, and it is in fact a challenge to other teams to face them in a T20 match. Today the only T20 match is scheduled in between India and Sri Lanka in R Premadasa Stadium Colombo from 6 PM local time.
With the in form opening batting pair of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, India is the biggest threat to Lanka. In the One Day series too India defeated them by 4-1 and the only defeat in the 5 match series is in no way disturbing the morale of the Dhoni brigade. They have the batting giants like Yuvraj Singh, Raina, Rohit Sharma and skipper Dhoni himself at the middle order of the batting line up. Other than them Yusuf Pathan is a dangerous and powerful stroke player too.
In bowling department Ishant Sharma and Zaheer Khan are too good to write. They can convert the direction of any game in a single over only. Other than them there is Praveen Kumar, Irfan Pathan and Balaji too. It is true that Harbhajan Singh is missing the tour, but Pragyan Ojha has done well so far along with the part time spinners like Yuvi, Viru, Yusuf etc.
Other than these players Indian team is having the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja too with them, who is especially done well in the first IPL matches. So choosing final eleven for the match is also one sort of headache for the Indian skipper Dhoni and the Indian Team management.
On the other hand Sri Lankan team is looking much week than the Indian team. They have rested there ODI skipper Jayawardene. It is almost sure that Jayasuriya and Dilshan will start the inning and we know how much dangerous are both of them. Jayasuriya especially is the match winner and can make any unachievable target easier for his team.
The inclusion of Dilhara Lokuhettige in the team, who is a specialist in T20 cricket format, is making them much stronger too. With the return of Lasith Malinga in the team they can give some good fight back to the Indian Team.
