Superb display of batting by Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag brought India to a superb total of 363. Both the dashing batsman hit century in the match.
This score has almost fixed the series victory for India. If India will be able to win this match then they will lead the five match series by 3-0.
Team India started the inning badly. Winning the toss India chose to bat first, but lost the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar quite early. It was again a LBW decision which was actually not a correct one. After a few over Gautam Gambhir unluckily became run out and this brought Indian score to 24 for the loss of two wicket.
Then comes the superb partnership of 221 runs between Sehwag and Yuvraj. Both the batsman dominated all the bowlers of the Lankan team. Yuvraj got out after making 117 runs in 95 balls. Then Sehwag too got out at the score of 265, he made 116 runs in just 90 balls. Both Yuvraj and Sehwag hit 17 boundaries each, while Yuvi also hit one six. After them it was the turn of Yusuf Patahan who made quick 59, his second international half century in just 38 balls. He hit 4 boundaries and 3 six.
Finally Sri Lanka has a huge target of 364 runs in 50 overs, which seems next to impossible at this moment, though if Jayasuriya and Sangakkara batted well then it is a reachable target.
