A few months back he was known as Mr. Reliable for Team India in tests matches, but from last few months he was not in perfect form. He gained the form once again, and I think the Wall is a bit stronger this time. Today only Rahul Dravid made a superb century in the semi final match of the Duleep Trophy. This century and a superb third wicket partnership of 312 runs with Badrinath have strengthened his position for the New Zealand’s tour of India.
On the other hand Badrinath too give him brilliant support by making 200 runs, on the first day of the semi final match of the Duleep Trophy between North Zone and South Zone. On the first day of this match South Zone was a bit in problem when they lost both the openers at the score of only 13 runs. Then the Wall and Badrinath played the partnership of 312 runs, and brought South Zone to a respectable total of 442 for the loss of only six wickets. This partnership has almost fixed the place for South Zone in the final of the Duleep Trophy.
