In a move of shock and anger former captain Javed Miandad resigned from the post of the Director General of the Pakistan Cricket Board with immediate effect. It was the outcome of the PCB’s decision of Younis Khan taking over the captaincy of the Pakistan national cricket team in place of Shoaib Malik.
Reports are clearly saying about the unhappiness of the Miandad in the interference of the other board members in the administrative matters. It is clear that Miandad was not happy with the sacking of the former skipper Malik.
PCB is going through some bad patches after once Team India decided not to visit Pakistan for the cricket series scheduled earlier and then Sri Lanka defeated them in a three match home series by a margin of 2-1.
