That’s all from the 1st test match in Guyana. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat and scored 476 runs and then West Indies got all out on 280, in second inning Sri Lanka scored 240 and then all out West Indies on 315. Hence, West Indies lost the match with 121 runs.
So finally day 2 is over. In today’s match Sri Lanka innings was ruled by the captain itself as M Jayawardene completed his 22nd Test century . Day belonged to the lower order batsman of Sri Lanka team. Pitch is not so supportive to the bowler and West Indies finished the day at 29 for one loss. D Smith made 8 and R Sarwan 21.
First Day of Play:
Hence the first day of play belonged to Sri Lanka batsman, especially M Warnapura his maiden Test century .At the end of the day Sri Lanka is at 269 for the loss of 4 wickets and M Jayawardene is batting at 25 along with Dilshan with at 15.
