Australia postpone Pakistan Tour due to Security Reason !

Pakistan tour of Australian team has been postponed because of security reasons after the
successive bomb blasts in Lahore. The two countries said this today in a joint statement.

PCB chairman Naseem Ashraf said that they are very disappointed with this decision. Asharaf is planning to meet Cricket Australia (CA) chairman Creagh O’Connor in next week to decide on the new dates for the tour.

He said, “I guess there is not much we could do and sincerely hope that the tour of Australia to Pakistan can materialize at the earliest opportunity.”
It is known that the general elections had been postponed by the assassination of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto late last year. A rise in of suicide bombings following the general election has feared the two countries for the security.
Earlier the tour was scheduled to start at the end of March. Australia have not played a Test match in Pakistan since 1998, with their three-Test tour scheduled for three years later moved to Sri Lanka  and the United Arab Emirates because of security issues.
