Fifth Day of Play :

India declared their second inning at 269 for the loss of 7 wickets and that’s the all of the fourth test match between India and Australia. Australia won the series with 2-1 and Sachin Tendulkar declared as the player of the match. Brett Lee has been announced as the Player of the Series.

India started the day badly, Dravid being the retired hurt, then Sachin got run out at 13. Now a brilliant century by Virender Sehwag has reached India to 142 for the loss of two wickets.

Fourth Day of Play :

The fourth day is over and India has taken a lead of 8 runs, the match is proceeding towards a draw.

Sehwag got the wicket of Clarke and India all out Australia. They have a lead of 37 runs and India will have to play around 20 overs today.

Australia has taken the lead of 34 runs but still the match seems to proceeding towards a draw.

Tea for the fourth day of play and unless something unusual will happen on last day, the match seems to proceeding for the draw.

Gillchrist has gone for 14, Sehwag took the brilliant catch.

Ishant Sharma got the wicket of Clarke. Brilliant catch by VVS Laxman. Gilly will be coming to join Symonds.

Ponting made brilliant 140 runs and Clarke is still batting on 115.

Aussies seems in full command and it looks that they have made plan to bring result from this match. Earlier Ricky Ponting took the strike and now Symonds and Clarke are doing the work.

Third Day of Play :

And that is the end of the day third of the fourth test match between India and Australia, at Adelaide. Australia is now batting at 322 for the loss of three wickets. Ponting is there at 79 and Clarke is batting at 37.

And a blow to Aussies, Pathan got the wicket of Hussey. Clarke has came to join Ponting.

Its tea for the third day now, and Aussies are batting strongly at 225 for the loss of 2 wickets. Hayden has once again proved his utility by making century. Ponting is the bigger threat to India and his current partnership of 39 runs with Hussey is building pressure on Team India.

The current partnership of Hussey and Ponting is creating danger for Indian team, they require one or a couple of wickets at this stage. Aussies are now at 198 for the loss of 2 wickets and a couple of wicket can bring them to the back foot. They are still trailing by 328 runs from Indian team, and India can bring pressure on them.

Ishant Sharma took the wicket of Hayden, Aussies is now at 186 for 2.

Aussies are now at 185 for the loss of one wicket.

Here it comes! The century of Hayden. Aussies are now at 180 for 1.

Hayden is on 99 now and Aussies are at 178 for the loss of 1. Ponting is giving the company to Hayden at 5.

This is what a break can do to the concentration of any player. After the lunch Kumble stricked and took the very first wicket of Jaques. Hence Aussies are now at 159 for the loss of one wicket, Hayden is still there at 86 and Ponting has arrived to give him company.

Aussies completed 150 for no loss, Hayden being there at 82 and Jaques giving him company at 55.

Jaques completed his half century too. He is now at 52, while Aussies are at 139 for no loss.

Australia started the day with full command. After one hour of play they reached to 136 for no loss. Hayden is batting at 75 while Jaques is there at 49. Pitch is not doing any type of help to the bowlers.

Second Day of Play :

So finally day 2 is over. Day belonged to the lower order batsman of Indian team. Pitch is not so supportive to the bowler and Australia finished the day at 62 for no loss. Jaques made 21 and Hayden 36.

A brilliant boundary from Hayden in Harbhajan’s ball has reached Aussies to 54 for no loss. This boundary has bring the 50 run partnership for opening wicket between Hayden and Jaques.

Australia started the inning on a positive note and scored 31 for no loss at 12:33 PM IST. Jaques is batting at 12 and Mathew Hayden is at 17. Hayden has scored 2 boundaries and Jaques one.

The last wicket partnership of 58 runs between Kumble and Ishant Sharma frustrated Australia. Just now Kumble fell to Johnson after making 87, and India’s first inning is all over at 526, which is in fact a diffcult target for the Aussies. Indian bowlers are in a superb form and can cause danger to Aussies.

Kumble has completed his half century and India is now at 472 for nine.

India lost two quick wickets of Bhajji and RP Singh, they are now at 468 for the loss of nine wickets. Kumble is playing at 48 and Bhajji got out at 63.

India has reached to 451 for seven.

A boundary frm Bhajji has brought India to 443 for 7. He is now at 47.

At present India is aiming at a minimum aim of 450 and then they have a great bowling line of five bowlers and in fact all of them are enjoying a superb form. Hence, Aussies might feel the heat now. If India can even stop them to win this match then they will become the world’s no. 2 team in Test Matches. Harbhajan has reached to the 40 run marks and Kumble is there at 36. Hence these two are looking all set to complete there half centuries. India is now at 433 for the loss of seven wickets.

A fantastic boundary from Kumble has brought India to 431 and he reached to 35. The current partnership has reached to 72 runs and this is frustrating for the Aussies.

And a 5 runs in a no ball has brought India to 426 for the loss of seven wickets.

The current partnership between Indian captain Kumble and Harbhajan Singh has reached to 58 now and India is now in a position of 417 for the loss of 7 wickets. Kumble is there at 30 and Bhajji is at 35.

At lunch of the second day of play India is at 405 for the loss of seven wickets.

India has completed 402 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Kumble is batting at 23 and Bhajji is at 27. Bhajji has scored 3 boundaries and Jumbo has scored 4 boundaries.

At 7:37 AM IST, India is playing at 381 for the loss of seven wickets. Jumbo is baating at 15 while Bhajji is batting at 14.

After completing 150 Sachin fell to Lee at 153 and that time India was at 359. Now Harbhajan is playing with Kumble and India is at 366 for the loss of 7 wickets. This is the end of the superb inning of the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

Team India started the day with a positive note but lost the wicket of MS Dhoni very soon. He felt to Johnson at a score of 16 and that time India was at 336. Now India is batting at 351 for the loss of six wickets. Sachin is there at 147 along wih the Indian captain Kumble who is batting at 5.

First Day of Play:

The Day belonged to the Indian batsman who were struggling for 156 for 4 at one stage and scored 309 for five at the end of the day. Little Master Sachin became the hero by making his 39th Test Century and that was really superb. India won the toss and elected to bat first, Johnson took two early wickets and India were at 82 for the loss of 2 wickets at one stage. Finally Sachin is not out at 124 along with Dhoni at 6, Sehwag scored 63 while Laxman scored 51.

Brilliant boundary from Tendulkar has brought India to 295 for 5 and Tendulkar is at 119 now.

India lost the wicket of Laxman at 51. Dhoni has came to join Tendulkar, India is now at 288 for the loss of five.

At 12:35 AM IST, India is utilizing the useful innings of Sachin Tendulkar and Very Very Special Laxman . Both of them has utilized a partnership of 121 runs. India has suffered quick losses. Team India opened with Irfan Pathan and Virender Sehwag. Johnson took the earlier breakthrough. He dismissed Pathan and Dravid. India is right now playing at 89 for the loss of two wickets. Sehwag has scored 56 and Sachin is batting at no score.

Post Match Preview:

The fourth test match between India and Australia is scheduled from tomorrow morning at Adelaide. This is the same pitch where India defeated Australia in last tour, Agarkar took 6 wickets, and dismissed Australia for 196. Rahul Dravid scored 233 and 72 in that match which was played on Dec 2003.

India recently defeated Australia in the second cricket test match in the so called bouncy wicket of Perth and Australia are now in big problem, whether they will play with four pacers or will use 3 pacer and 1 spinner.

Apart from this Team India is also facing some internal problem after it’s team selection for the ODI and T20 match. There is something wrong in between players, and there main batsman Dravid and Ganguly are not in a good mind frame.

So we will hope for a tough contest between the two world champions team of cricket.
