Third test between India and Pakistan – Match Draw but Series Won by India
In short an all round brilliant performance by Team India under its leader Jumbo. First time in a test series India dominated in all the departments of match against there arch rivals Pakistan. Team India won the toss and decided to bat first and put a brilliant score of 626. Dada Saurav Ganguly scored a marvelous 239, along with Yuvi’s 169 and Pathan’s 102 were the highlights of the Team India. In reply Pakistan scored 537, thanks to the brilliant score of 133 by Misbah. Then in second inning too India scored 284 for 6 in which again Dada was on lime light. He scored 91. In response to this Pakistan was once struggling at 162 for 7. India’s charge is halted by bad light and Pakistan managed to draw this test match.
With this draw Team India managed to win the first test series victory at home in 27 years against there arch rivals Pakistan. In the last day of play, the birth day boy Yuvraj Singh took 2 wickets along with a superb show of bowling by Anil Kumble (5-60).
We would also like to remind people about the performance of the player of the match and also player of the series Saurav Ganguly. He has scored more than one thousand run in a calendar year and just behind the Jaques Kallis of South Africa. While he has to play one more match in this year. Now where are those persons who were saying him finished?
